Going over the rolling Chianti
hills is always irresistibly charming.
Petrognano Farm, surrounded by centuries-old cypress trees, vineyards and olive groves is endowed with a spectacular
yet peaceful setting.
In the past it was the site of Etruscan settlements and even
now it finds itself within the protected area open to archaeological
excavations.
Many of the finds exhibited in the Ceramics and Archaeological
Museum of Montelupo Fiorentino were found right here.
Over the centuries, Petrognano Farm has been the property of different important Tuscan families.
In 1963 it was bought by the Pellegrini family, who have known how to make the most of this wonderful place, intervening above all in the production
of wine, planting new vineyards and building a new
cellar, equipped with the most up-to-date enological
technology.
Recently, the original 18th century farmhouse were converted
into holiday farm residence.
The holiday farm is surrounded by a large well-kept garden, where flowers and perfumes alternate, following the different seasons, and is linked to the main Villa by an enchanting
labyrinth of high shaped laurel, so typically Tuscan.
There are ten flats of various size equipped with every kind
of comfort
and furnished with extreme care. The swimming-pool, tennis court, bowling-run, table-tennis and tables with deck-chairs in various secluded corners help to make outdoor relaxing
so pleasant.
